The old barn featured a ton of character, with massive long beams used in the construction of it. The barn needed to be updated for the owner to be able to safely store their trailer and other equipment in it, and close in three sides to provide protection from the elements for everything inside it. We carefully dismantled the old barn, to try and preserve and the large old beams.
After
Spanning the existing footprint of the old barn, but using modern building techniques we created a space for the owner to park their equipment, trailers and more in this build. Featuring board and batten siding, custom windows and steel roofing, this barn will be a safe place to store all agriculture equipment for many years to come!
Custom Windows
In this particular build, the owner of the barn was able to source off cuts of glass that we were able to take and then fabricate custom windows out of them for this barn. While this is a bit more effort to do, the results speak for themselves.
Reusing Elements
The owner of this barn wanted to try and re-use some of the existing elements of the original barn and had the idea to use the old barn wood along the top of the front. We cut down enough of the old wood to add a nice nod to the old barn along the top of the new one.
